Bill Kimpton, founder and Chairman of Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group, Inc. is the man who launched San Francisco's now famous "small Hotel revolution". Bill started our company on April Fool's Day in 1981, Bill was truly an innovator in the industry. Kimpton's vision was to provide the customer with a quality experience at an affordable price. He knew he needed special ingredients to achieve this goal and be successful. He needed the right product, the right value for our guests and most of all, the right staff. Twenty-three years later, the three components have not changed; Kimpton's competitive edge continues to be our people.
